Content Analysis Dimensions and indicators of Revolutionary Spirit Based on the Statements of the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei (May God Be Pleased with Him)

In the current situation, with the emergence of new fronts and discourses, the confrontation with the Islamic Republic has intensified and has rendered this confrontation asymmetric, to the extent that the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution (may God be pleased with him) compared it to the conditions of Medina during the time of the Battle of the Confederates (Ahzab). The primary weapon of this front is intellectual and political infiltration, which aims to alter the revolutionary beliefs and behaviors of the people and officials, and consequently, the metamorphosis of the revolution. Under these critical and seditious circumstances, for approximately ten years, the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution (may God be pleased with him) has, in various decrees and statements, put forward the “discourse of revolutionary spirit” as the principal strategy for countering the afflictions and challenges facing the Islamic system. The martyred leader has introduced the revolutionary spirit as one of the keys to society’s success and victory. This research seeks to identify the dimensions and indicators of the concept of revolutionary spirit based on the statements of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution (may God be pleased with him). To understand the dimensions and indicators of revolutionary spirit, his statements on this concept from the year 1362 SH (1983/1984) to 1402 SH (2023/2024) were subjected to content analysis using the thematic analysis method. Based on the results, five dimensions were extracted for the concept of revolutionary spirit: revolutionary and Hezbollahi morale, revolutionary attitude, revolutionary motivation and emotions, revolutionary belief, and revolutionary behavior and action. Furthermore, for each of the above dimensions, the indicators that received the highest scores from the elites were considered as the indicators of revolutionary spirit. Based on the findings, 18 indicators were extracted as the indicators of the revolutionary spirit
