Explaining the functions and roles of the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran in creating a new Islamic civilization based on the statement of the second step of the Islamic revolution

As one of the most important security organizations of the Islamic system, the army has played an important role in realizing the goals of the Islamic Republic and is considered one of the pillars (building stones) of the modern Islamic civilization. The general purpose of the research is to investigate the role of the army in creating a new Islamic civilization based on the statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution. The research is of the "applied" type and the research method is of the survey type The research is of the "applied" type and the research method is of the survey type. The sample size was determined to be 54 people who were selected by non-probability judgment (targeted) sampling method. In this research, a "researcher-made questionnaire" was used as the main tool for data collection. The research questionnaire, with 29 questions, evaluated the components, functions of the army in the creation of modern Islamic civilization are, respectively: People's army; maintaining independence; Creating deterrence; Establishing security in society; production of military and defense equipment needs; Protecting the achievements of the Islamic system and the new Islamic civilization; Influential in military and political equations in the region; Self-confidence and self-reliance; The spirit of bravery; Establishing the new identity of the army. The final result of the research shows that today the army has a high position among the people and has many and important roles in shaping the new Islamic civilization, but more efforts should be made toimprove it.
