Abstract
The thoughts of political thinkers about an issue are formed based on their intellectual and behavioral foundations. The stances and actions and reactions of personalities are also based on different approaches based on mental assets based on the foundations. In this article, the issue of negotiating with the system of domination is discussed. Ayatollah Khamenei's view on the issue of negotiating with the system of domination It does not stem from his personal perspective, but rather emanates from intellectual foundations and Islamic principles. This article attempts to examine the mental assets of the system of domination in the thought of Ayatollah Khamenei, and that the enemy seeks to win in negotiations and impose its illegitimate demands, and that there are principles and red lines in negotiations that can be violated. It is impossible and immoral, and also from the perspective of the Supreme Leader, based on experience, negotiating with the hegemonic regime will not have positive effects for the negotiating countries against the hegemonic regime because the hegemonic regime seeks maximum concessions and minimal concessions in negotiations. In this research, the method of content analysis has been used, and the statements of the Ayatollah Khamenei has been discussed using the method of content analysis on the issues surrounding the topic of negotiation, and the question of concern for the researcher is how, why, and what effects does negotiation with the ruling regime have in Ayatollah Khamenei's view?
